The session begins with a varied warm up session to ensure the vocals cords are warmed properly, this includes scale work and a few tongue twisters to sharpen the brain and concentration. Each term, Jane our Musical Director, and the committee take suggestions on the genre of music the choir would like to try as well as song requests. Although the choir do re visit music from time to time it is always great fun learning new songs and techniques.
The choir enjoy a tea break half way through the session. This is a great time to make new friends and catch up with everyone’s news. It can be daunting moving to a new town and not knowing anyone and this is a great way to socialise and become part of the community, as you all know we are a community choir after all.
