CHRISTMAS WITH BAY COMMUNITY SINGERS
Like most choirs in the country, Bay Community Singers are currently working hard learning their Christmas repertoire, revisiting their best loved carols and thinking about getting their Christmas jumpers and sparkly tops ready ! So you don’t miss out on some festive singing, here’s where you can hear us throughout
December:
Wednesday 2nd December – Carols by Candlelight, Kendal Parish Church 7 pm raising funds for NSPCC. Look out for posters/leaflets with bookings via QR code or on the door. Tickets: £10
Thursday 3rd December – St Paul’s Church, Grange over Sands, Christmas Tree Festival opening ceremony at 7 pm
Saturday 5th December – the outside stage at Beetham Christmas Market at Beetham Garden Centre from 12 noon
Thursday 17th December – Carol Concert at the URC in Grange, 6 pm
Saturday 19th December – COMMUNITY CAROL SINGING from 11 am next to the Co-op in Kent’s Bank Road – Come and sing carols with us. We will be collecting for Blood Bikes and you can also meet one of the Blood Bike volunteers on his special motorbike ! Don’t forget to bring some cash for our donation buckets.

- BAY COMMUNITY SINGERS - SUMMER UPDATE

Bay Community Singers (Grange’s very own Community Choir) are currently enjoying a well deserved summer break after another fantastic year of singing. Their most recent performances included visiting the Old Vicarage Care Home in May to entertain the residents and a few weeks later they were hosted by Clare House Hotel where they sang in beautiful sunshine to an enthusiastic audience who enjoyed some delicious refreshments courtesy of Clare House. A collection raised £460 for St Mary’s Hospice. The choir are very grateful to Clare House and to all who came to support and they look forward to a return visit next year. Last weekend we joined with a couple of other choirs for an informal gathering in Kendal to perform for each other – it was a lovely afternoon. Our autumn term starts on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH at 7 pm in the URC hall on Kents Bank Rd. We welcome anyone who would like to come along and give it a try. No previous singing experience is necessary and you will find us all very friendly and welcoming. We have lots of exciting things planned for our thirteenth year including a concert in Windermere with South Lakes Acapella on Sunday October 11th.
